Thanks everyone for the kind words!! It truly was a surprise when we came around that corner and there she sat. Her name will be Olivia, as that is where we found her-in Olivia, TX, which is just south of Port Lavaca, TX on the coast about 2 1/2 hrs from San Antonio. It was an even bigger surprise when the owner and I were able to come to terms rather quickly. And.... for those of you who know me-Yes, I DID steal it. However in my defense, the first offer I gave was soundly laughed at. He then gave me a figure which I promptly shook on, lest he come to his senses and change his mind. I will probably be going to get her in a couple of weeks. I will then post more pictures and take inventory of what needs to be done. I do know that the tongue is twisted, but I do have some expertise in repairs of that nature.

We were out looking for land primarily. However, when we are out we also look for the silver flash. As you see, you never know what will turn up.

Bruce is leaving some of you in suspense. Bruce, Sean, George (a good friend of Bruce's and a member of Bruce's WBCCI unit in San Antonio) and I made a trip to Olivia, TX this past Saturday. First step in the process was a huge lunch of some super fresh fried shrimp, with fries & slaw (thanks Bruce!!), then on to the Cruiser. Olivia's bearings were greased, new seals installed, new wheels & tyres put on & a "jerry rigged" way to attach some magnetic lights to the rear end (as the bumper was "missing") and off we went for San Antonio to Bruce & Roseann's ranchita where Roseann had a boiled shrimp dinner waiting on us!! Delicious shrimp twice in one day!!! Life's Good!!! Thanks Roseann & Rhondi.

This 1954 Cruiser is now a part of Bruce's large collection of vintage aluminum.

I'm trying to convince Bruce to sell some of his many trailers, so any of you in need - send him a PM!!! I think he needs to focus his considerable resto skills (AND MONEY!!) on restoring Roseann's Sisters on the Fly Airstream, and then move on to his new Cruiser.

Bruce ~ What's happening on the "Progress Front"? Can you post some fotos?
Or . . . . Have you lost interest in favor of a "new" Flying Cloud?

Oh the "Choices" . . . . . . So many Airstreams . . . . . . So little time . . . . . .
So many friends bugging him to share in the goodies.

Well, it looks like you have your own caravan! Neat. Now I have to learn what a cruiser model is like.

Someone needs to ask Bruce about the latest "find" which he and Whitsend are dragging home this weekend. The DW (aka Rose)

As another DW said to me one time when her husband was bringing home another "find,", "I'm thinking I need a new handbag to go with that Airstream, I'm thinking."
