I have across pu bed tool box that I mounted 12 volt winch on side of tool box. Made ramp of plywood w/2/3 on edge on out side edge to stiffen & eye bolt one and of Each 2by, then hook w/motor cycle style straps hooked at corner of bed keeps ramp from sliding off when unloading, then winch gen. in out also use for for other things to heavy to lift. Have 4/8 bed 1 sheet plywood fits no cuts.

Also Harbor Freight tools has 900 watt 2 cycle gen that will do same plus small micro wave oven but no ac. Cost under $100.00 & very lite wt.

In this order...…...mind, machine, muscle

1. I get my young wife, the farmer's daughter, to lift it.
2. I go back to primary machines and put a 2x lumber from tail gate to ground and slide the generator up the incline plane. Works for the big open frame Subaru generator.
3. I go to the shop and get the steel ramps out and wheel the generator up the ramps.

4. I just pick up the Champion 3400, lighter. I'm still in decent shape. Untill one through three doesn't work.

Oh that, I've been doing this since 2012. I've only used the generator at the house after Hurricanes/Tropical storms. You don't have to go to places that don't have power.

We have a bed slide and a Harmar wheel chair lift, all fits under a campershell. Not a bargain solution but it’s been working for us since 2011 to lift the Yamaha 3000 and many other heavy items.
Good luck 😎

Another option for your generator

I read about this in a magazine. I plan to buy one for my TV, F-350. Going to run it in carrier with long cord.

Ken,
Please post a picture of the carrier and generator mounted on your truck, once you get it all rigged up. Are you planning to leave the long cord attached under your truck then just plug into the trailer when needed?
Thanks!
