Window replacement - glazing strip issues

Hi everyone, I am trying to replace the curbside curved window on my 1975 argosy.

I have everything I need ready to go, but am having such an issue getting the new window glass into the frame with the replacement glazing strip. This is the one I have:

https://www.vintagetrailersupply.com...-p/vts-477.htm

It looks exactly like the original, but I think it’s more flexible so it keeps slipping into the frame when I try to put everything together. I’m also not able to get it tight enough so the corners of the frame meet. Any suggestions?

Thanks! Click image for larger version
