Where to Post a lot of pictures??

I'm taking pictures tomorrow. A LOt of pictures and gonna post them. I was asked to do this so I'm gonna geive ie my all. There has been some cleaning and other small things done to the trailer but tomorow I'm going to take fine detailed pics of everything and poost them on here.

Hope that 's pk? I'm gonna be doing a lot of work <first nice day here in awhile> So the pic probably won't go on until early Sunday morn.

Glad to hear you're going to post some pics of your Argosy.

There is a place on the forums just for that, called the "Gallery".

Look up towards the top of the page, you will see a dark blue menu bar, and one of the selections, just to the left of centre is called "Gallery". Don't forget to put lots of notes on each photo to help us tell what you are pointing out in the image.

Two thoughts -- 1) 1200 x 800 is about the max conveniently viewable by members and 2) the largest images will use up your storage limit much faster. Other notes on the process at http://www.airforums.com/forums/f138...tml#post612569.

There is software on everybody's computer to resize - your camera's download/editing program, MS Office Picture Manager, and many others. Cropping & resizing will tell the story in a more comprehensible way. Ask if you have any questions.

I belong to a number of forums that let you post pictures. The easiest way I've found is to upload your pictures to something like Flickr or Picasa and then put the url for the set of pictures in your email. They have extensive area for notes, you can put notes right in the picture itself and you can upload a bunch at a time. I think it works a lot better than uploading to the gallery.

BTW,...Coffee tastes good this morning. Just waiting for the frost to melt off and the chill in the air to leave and its off to Project Pill.

Gonna remove olf Fridge today, hopefully install a new smaller one RM2351.
Gonna re screw im my sewer lid/hatch that hold my cord/hoses.
Paint the walls with primer. The wood and wall paper areas.
Got some minor plumbing issues to t take care of.
GOnna paint the bathroom sink and shower.

The largest practical picture size viewable on a common large monitor has been 1600 x 1200 (4:3) or 1920 x 1200 (16:10 widescreen). However, 1200 is getting too tall as some monitors are now 1920 x 1080 (16:9 HDTV ratio).

The most compatible, and thus courteous size has been 800 x 600 (4:3 and 1/4 of 1600 x 1200), which fits on an 1024 x 768 XGA monitor with room for tool bars and window frames. 800 x 600 also even fits on 1024 x 600 netbook screens when viewed full screen.

A 1.5:1 (35mm film aspect ratio) version of 800 x 600 would be 900 x 600, and a 16:10 widescreen version would be 960 x 600, both viewable on a netbook fullscreen. 960 is also a good max width for web site pages these days.

Shane, the link I gave you in post 3 gives instructions as if you were attaching them to a post in a thread. Yes, a thread works better if you are writing accompanying explanations ... and then we can comment and ask questions too.

Or just join a site like Photobucket (www.photobucket.com) and upload your pictures there (for free). Once you've done that, just click on the [img] link it makes under every photo, and then paste that link into a post.

No worrying about any limits on size, or sizing the image for best viewing: Photobucket takes care of it all, AND lets the viewer decide to look at a large detailed version of the photo or not.

And lastly, if you want to change, update, or remove the photo at some later date, you will always have control over it.
