What year AS Tail Lights fit a '77 Argosy?
What year Airstream tail lights will fit a 1977 Argosy if the plastic rear piece on the Argosy is removed? Does anyone have them for sale?

You can use the Airstream tail light bezels, that use square tail and back up lights.
Or, you can use the 7 inch tail lights that are available with regular bulbs, or LED's.

Thanks Andy. Do you know what year Airstreams these tail lights were used on?

The 7 inch tail lights were used on some of the smaller 68's and then on most all the older trailers.
The bezel started in 67 but switched to plastic, best I remember in 74.
The early bezels used round lights and from 74 and newer, they used square lights.

Are these them? If they are, I could not get them to fit my Argosy. The curve was wrong and there was a 1/2 inch gap

It's the same quarter panel, so it should fit.

Hi Andy, no they don't. I tried them upside down, opposite sides and further in or out the curve just does not match and I cannot figure it out. I ended up doing a reasonable fibre glass repair on the light panel and putting it back. Its OK but not what I wanted to do.
VENTPORT There is a thread here somewhere that somebody posted a pic of another light cluster that did fit, flatter than the pic I posted and I think, no curve. Sits flat on the rear. Looked OK.

Silly question, but did you try fitting them higher and/or lower than the position of the original Argosy taillights assy.? I fixed my 76 Argosy light housing with liquid plastic and a lot of sanding. It was pretty wavy on the top edge so I covered it with a strip of that adhesive anti slip tape for exterior sidewalks. It looks really nice (kinda like the factory intended it to be there). It also hides ALL of the wavyness in my fix, reinforces the fix and all but eliminates the possibility of the original stress cracks from spreading.

Phrunes: Yes I did, couldn't make them fit for love nor money. Here is a pic from the forums of the other light cluster I mentioned.

That one was off a 1985 Excella. I have a thread bookmarked that talked about it because my Argosy needs the same fix. My housing is trashed. I think the trailer in the pic is a 1979 so I don't know if that is the same as my 1973 or your trailer though.
