What to do with my Minuet???

It needs a fair amount of work, but I don't have the time or knowledge to do it, nor can I justify the expense at this point in time.
I have no space to store at my house so I'm paying $300 a month to have it sit in a field, which is not that bad pricewise.
If I decide to sell it, will I kill myself in 10 or so years when I'm ready to get a camper?
I'd really hate to depart with it, but we just don't use it and probably wont for quite a while. Were a ways off from retirement.
Just looking for some advice from the club.
Thx

Here's my $0.02, for what it's worth. If you don't plan on using it for 10 years (it already sounds like you can't justify the expense), then I would sell it. At the storage price of $300/mo for 10 years (not including the price of restoration), you will have spent in excess of $36,000. Save your money and apply it towards the puchase of another trailer when the time is right for you. If the time is never right with regards to purchasing a trailer, just think how much money you will have saved up to use for whatever your new dreams are!

I guess I can't edit a post. Sorry, but it's $300 a year for storage, not a month.

Use it or lose it?

If you're really not able to use it, and it is stored in a field for a long time, I'd consider letting it go to a good home...

1. Taking cash proceeds and "investing" would mean you could afford more trailer when you're ready to use it, even if you have to pay more for similar trailer due to inflation
2. Parking in field exposes it to rats, other pests, rust on frame or corrosion, plus deterioration of interior, all of which cost $$ even though you aren't writing checks.
3. There is an active national market for these, and you WILL be able to find another one (similar if not "the same" when you're ready to go
4. Somebody out here is looking right now for that kind of trailer to use today...
5. You'd also be paying for some form of registration (likely) and insurance (at least for vandalism or theft..) in addition to paying for storage cost...

Where are you? I'd be interested in your trailer either for myself or for friends who are looking. We're in SW Washington and Oregon. Please don't let it sit in a field and rot away. Darol
