Since I have two degrees in electrical engineering I am pretty heartless when it comes to naming cars, trailers or anything else that is inanimate. Heck, I have a hard time naming my dogs!
I looked at the side of my Minuet and I called it the Minuet. I figured Airstream made it easy for me. They named it for me.
I never named a trailer. I figure it is because that I am so logical.
We call our '81 Excella II 'Ole81' because the big red WBCCI number is, ironically, 8181, and we call our 2001 F250 7.3 diesel 'Bujak', which is Slovak for BULL.
We named our Minuet "Acoustic Argosy" Being we both love and play acoustic music. When we bought it, the dealer thought it would be nice to pop rivet their dealer name tag/advertisement to the entry. Janet had a nice stainless plate made up with Acoustic Argosy on it and I pulled their ad plate and replace it, looks great. Now we'll never lose our Minuet.
As for the 24' rear door we're still thinking about a name for that one, maybe spud or rocket or something equally cute.
We are leaning more toward "The Slip Stream Queen" as appossed to "Buddy's Love Shack". Named after our new rescue dog, Buddy Love.
We rescued Buddy a month ago after we had to put our 14 yr old Blue Heeler down. Buddy is great - loves the trailer and will experience his first family camping adventure soon. We're going to the ocean - it's only a 3 hour tour....LOL!!!!
We're still leaning toward "Slip Stream Queen" - what a classic!
Thank you for all your responses. Have a great time trailering....We know we will.
The Oakleys
You guys are all lucky. No matter what I call my trailer it just won't come. It just sits there and ignores me. I've called it a hundred times or more, tried all kinds of names (polite ones folks) and it just doesn't respond to any of them. Now that is a lot like my cat.
We just purchased both of our Argys recently. We are thinking of naming our 20' Argosy TT "Baby Bear" and our 28' Argosy MH "Papa Bear". Then of course, we will just "have" to get a third one to be named "Mama Bear"!!!!
I met some people a few years ago who named their Argosy "Dimples" it had been through a Mid-West hail storm is was a very appropriate name. Sort of looked like a golf ball.

Gotcha Dr. Spock Perhaps I should call mine "20"?
It's name is simply "Old Paint", like my first car.

Gary, Marie voted down "Tin Turd", so that name is still available if you want it.
I take it, though, that this has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that it's a "rear" door?
I guess because it is my understanding that they are accomplished musicians, and the drummer in the band always seems to be in the "rear", they could call it drummer. Okay, I'm sorry, it's early Sunday morning and my humor button isn't turned on yet, but I did try....

Barry, it's better than you think. They could call it "the drumhead". First reason is obvious, the second is the sign with the logo on it that brought up the rear of a passenger car on a train is called a drumhead.
