Yep that's the problem. The lid pivot point is too far back on most of the newer toilets. The Sealand is in the right position, forward of the back of the toilet.
It's a tight fit but I did it so can you.

Checked them out and now I know I can put my original Sealand back in without it leaking - they'll have everything I need. Thanks for the tip! Diane

When we installed the traveller in Vintage Thunder we left the anti siphon cover off the water inlet and cut the underside of the cabinet for it to fit inside of. It can be done, but as Gary said it is a tight fit. I must have set the toilet on the flange at least a dozen times to get it "just right".

I thought that maybe the Aqua Magic V would fit?
balgrn is getting my brand new Aqua Magic IV because it will fit in the standard Argosy but not the Minuet.
I looked at the dimensions of the Aqua Magic V and the set-up for the lid and it looked like it would fit.
How well did the Sealand Traveler Lite fit? Compared to the Aqua Magic III?

I sent it out via FedEx.
You should have it by Monday from what I understand.
I would give you the tracking number but I think I left it out in the car!
Don't worry, you will have your toilet soon!

balrgn,
I'd say you're making the right decision in replacing the original. From what I've been told, a broken hinge is darn near impossible to repair on these products.
My goof...
About three years ago, the valve that is an intergrate part of the hinge on mine broke and, I just by-passed the valve rather than go to all the trouble of replacing the entire toilet unit. (I suspect it still had some water left in it before winter set in.) *#*% happens..
ciao

Not a problem, We're in an Outage at work, so I'm working 7 12's for now. I did sneak out yesterday when we had a lull. So what do I do, go home and play with the campers!!! Felt good too!

Talking Polishing

I know I still have a ton of work on the inside, but my polishing supplies have been coming in. I wanted to get a bit of practice before I start on the Trade Wind. I've washed the White Pearl several times and have found no good cleaner or way to get the grime off. So I tried out the new Cyclo with some fine automotive compound. It works pretty nice! Smother to the touch and the color is consistent now. Tis the season to polish!

We replaced the toilet in our Minuet and found the Sealand Traveler (Low rise)
Fit perfectly. No alterations requires and the lid and seat opened all the way.
It is a little tight getting it in, but well worth the trouble.
Works great, easy to clean, and the valves can be replaced.
