Tanks
Does anyone know if the commode on a '79 Minuet 7.3 sits above the floor or below the floor? I don't want to tear out the bathroom if it's under. The reason I ask is the commode sits on a bump=up about 8" tall.
Thanks
Paul

If the raised area is large enough it sounds like above the floor.
You should be able to tell by looking down the toilet with a flashlight or using a piece of coathanger bent at an angle to probe around

That porch the toilet sits on is a cover for the top of the black tank with the drain down through the floor slanted street side. The black tank sits on the floor if it is anything like a 6m Minuet of the same year.

I am pretty sure it sits on the tank, which is above the floor. Most all Argosy's used that system and a low profile toilet on top.

As suggested the commode sits on top of the tank. What the heck once you start you've gotta go all the way.
Removed the toilet cleaned, disassembled and ordered new seals etc. Dumped some cleaner into the tank, mercifully empty but stinky, got the dump valve working for both tanks. The drains in the sink and shower seem slow, now currently working on them.
Lastly will be the belly pan to clean and paint the frame check for floor rot and leaks and check whatever else is there.

What do you do for a slow sink drain?

Used a commode plunger for the shower pan, gently so as not to break anything and some pces of junk apparently moved as it is a bit faster running now. The belly pan is off in the rear. I hate the thought of removing the trap so am still using the plunger. Removing the trap in the sink was easy enough, it was
full of 'no idea what black stuff' but clean now.

The vent stack to the grey water tank may be obstructed.
If the air can't get out, the grey water can't get in. Most have screens, look for a mud dauber nest or something similar.
