She's ours!
Well, Liz and I made it to Bat Cave NC and picked up our new-to-us 1972 20' Argosy yesterday. She needs a paint job (we knew that), but she's ours and paid for!
We picked up a pair of 20 pound LP tanks at Home Depot yesterday afternoon and a new marine deep cycle battery last night at Wally World. We're at the Camping World in Statesville NC as I type having the trailer brakes serviced and a W/D hitch and sway control installed.
I have to say, the front gaucho made a VERY comfortable bed last night. This trailer may be somewhat ratty at the moment (she need a bath), but she'll clean up nice. I'll post pix soon...

Congratulations on your new baby. Does she have a name yet? Good luck with her.

Thanks, her name is Elsa's Pride, though Elsa wouldn't be too proud of her the way she currently looks!
The techs here at Camping World are just about done fixing the brakes and we'll be on the road pretty soon!

Congrats Bob and Elsa. It is always fun when a new baby comes home, dirty or not. They never ever seem clean enough anyway until we do it ourselves. Paint is the easy part and I'm sure you've seen Boatdoc's thread on painting his Argy with a roller, thus significant cost savings if that is of interest to you.
Look forward to seeing the pictures.

It's always good to have new Argosy owners here. We certainly love our Argosy; however, we have defected slightly to the silver side and should pick up our Airstream in about a month. Still think the Argosys are just darn cute.

Looks like our babys have the same birthdate and adoption date! We picked up our 72 Argosy 22' yesterday too.
We look forward to growing up together!
Congratulations and enjoy your trip home!

Pix of our new baby!
These were taken Friday at the KOA in Wytheville, VA. We spent most of the day Friday at the Camping World in Statesville, NC getting brakes and a new hitch. Yes, she needs a bath (though the inside is now MUCH cleaner and we started giving her an exterior bath when we got home this afternoon.

"Artist's Rendition"...
I took one of the pix Terry (Overlander63) sent me and recolored it in Photoshop to the paint scheme we've planned for our baby. Here's the before and after...
Not a perfect PS job, but you'll get the idea.

We had a message from Colonial on our voicemail when we got home that it's fixed (yeah!). I'll be bringing her home this week.
