Service manuals by definition were primarily for Airstream repair facilities like dealers. Service manuals were first printed in 1972. It was a bound manual about 1" thick. The owners manual was about magazine thickness. In 1975 the service manual was spiral bound and thicker. My 93
Owners manual is a looseleaf binder about 3 inches thick and has more technical info and is similar to a "service" manual. Airstream Dealers are regularly sent service updates. It would surprise me if technical information was not available to dealers online. Newer Airstreams are much more complicated than vintage Airstreams. Airstream dealers make a lot of money on repairs and service. I imagine that owners of new Airstreams with pricetags of 100K or higher are not generally do it yourselfers. It also would make sense that technical information is not generally available to the public to discourage owner repair.
