My wife and I are school teachers....we purchased the Argosy
in late February and I have been working on it since. This is my
last day here at school and on the forum for a while. We are planning
3 or 4 trips this summer with our Argosy. We are really looking forward
to using our coach. All my wife can think about is "when" and "where"
we are going. All I can think about is the list of things to do in order
to fully prepare our RV for the capitol R in the R of RV. Come what may,
I bought this unit to be used and we are "chomping-at-the bit" to
"hook-em-up and get".

Cute pic! I was always giving my Airstream a bit of a hug every time I'd walk by, but had to stop because the neighbours were going to call in a professional.

I assume that you're going to have plenty of time to plan lots of trips in the near future given you're both teachers - enjoy!

Today is the first day of your real life. Enjoy it to the fullest; just wear that Argosy into the ground.

Have great Airstream adventures, and safe travels.

Ken,

Happy trails to you, get out there and enjoy. This is why we do this. We spend hours preparing and now it's time to explore. Take pictures and post if you can. I love reading about it.
Where are you going?

My wife is a teacher and I envy the amount of time teachers have off just for this reason...going camping. If we could, I'd hook-up on the first day after post planning and park the Airstream in driveway the day before pre-planning!

Congratulations on your Argosy and get out there and enjoy! Take a laptop with you and take advantage of WI-FI and post some pictures to this thread of your travels this summer.

Greetings Ken!

You will find that there are a number of people in our profession who are actively involved in the Airstream/Argosy hobby. I am a high school business and computer science teacher, and have been Airstreaming since 1995. I am sure that you will enjoy the freedom that your Argosy will provide. Last year, I spent six consecutive weeks touring Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park and nearby areas. My Airstream has permitted me to travel, on average, five weeks every summer. You may even find that you can use your travels to develop units of instruction that will satisfy some of your professional development requirements.

Enjoy your summer travels!

Kevin
