Resealing a '74 Argosy 22

Good morning all. I have discovered that my newly purchased Argosy has a leak. I know, what a shocker. My biggest surprise is that it appears to be the only one. The problem seems to be the front vent, specifically the seal around it. Do I need to replace the whole vent or can I just clean up and reseal around it?

Tim,

Argosy's don't leak!

It is the added components that cause the openings and hence let in water.

A picture might tell more, like what the vent looks like and it's condition (cracked, etc.).

If the vent looks okay, I would just clean up the edges and re-caulk the seams.

If you decide on the replacement. I would recommend a Fantastic Vent or Maxx Fan. They both have reversable powered fans. I prefer the Maxx Fan because rain won't get in and you can leave it open while travelling. Maxx also makes a vent cover that would cover your existing vent and probably take care of the leak.
