Deming? Well no.... We've had the TCT rally on the calendar all year but.... it's the same weekend our son goes off to college (first time) and I think we'll be moving him into his dorm that weekend (not sure wether to jump for joy or sob). Next year for sure!

We'll bring it by after it's a little more road worthy!
By the way... We are taking recommendations for paint jobs - it's kinda like a blank canvas!

I'm not sure two years of half full black tank is exactly what I would call taken care of, but I think we all generally know what you mean.

I have always liked the proportions of the Argosys. Maybe the paint job changes the perspective. You have a great looking unit that should have minimum, relatively speaking, work to get her ship shape. Good luck and congradulations!

SWEET! I have only seen ONE (1) rear door Argosy for sale and it was POS that the owner/dealer wanted 3 prices for. Needless to say I passed and you got the good one

Ths is one I saw go on eBay for considerably more money but looks to be about the same condition. The rear door 24s are so rare I saved the link:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/24-Vi...01343880QQrdZ1
One difference I noticed is this one has the "standard" four burner stove AND a glass oven door!

I think that is what is referred to as "benign neglect".
Also, the Ebay auction listed an Argosy 22. Is it a 22 or a 24? But, what's a couple of feet between friends?

What an exciting and emotional time for all of you. Hopefully once I get my driving abilities back we can make some of the other campout's around WA/OR in the next year other than just the TCT one close to home. For now with my wife doing the driving chores she's being cautious about how far she tows. It will take her a while longer before she's comfortable going more than a couple of hours, and we both have fingers and toes crossed that I'll be back in the drivers seat in relatively short order.

terry - It's a 24 - they figured it out and updated the auction - but we measured and the vin bears out the 24 lable. Also - it says Argosy 24 on the outside....
Barry - we've got our digits crossed as well. Keep up the good work!

Janet,
Thanks for the advise on the closet flange for my '75 Argosy 26. Was very helpful. Have new parts ordered and toilet FINALLY made it here. Just have to rebuild the platform for the toilet and get it ready for the new SeaLand Traveler Lite 111. Good Luck with your new project! Thanks again!

The most important "spotting feature".
Are you going to replace the Exploder as a tow vehicle? I towed Rich Luhr's Argosy 24 with a mid-90's V-8 powered Dakota with no trouble. Got 11 mpg towing, and 17 MT.

11 mpg? Bletch! Yes - eventually the Exploder will "age out of the system" in the meantime it gets towed with the PU. (2500HD Allison/Duramax diesel) That seems to work fine...

That is better than current with our van- 10 towing, 10 MT, 10 in town, 10 on the highway...

Janet and the Cat
Janet has found her new calling, or new play toy.
Here she is working to level spot for the pad which will
hold her latest toy.

10 sitting in the yard with the engine off I used to have a 3/4t 4x4 350 4bolt main Chebby like that...didn't matter what you did or how you drove 9mpg period.

She actually looks like she knows what she's doing! Did you make a call before you dug? Wouldn't want to hit any gas lines! I guess you guys are serious about this........building a home and all for your "baby"!
Did you make a decision on the sink? How about the paint color?.........I think a pearlescent body with maroon bottom and mid-stripe would look good.
Can't wait to see it..........will you bring it to BB?

Janet has decided that the sink will be like the one in your CCD.
We are still throwing around colors but we agree it will have a pearlescent clear coat. I like the idea of a maroon accents. Unfortuanatly we are still 1 to 2 years out on the comming out party. We will be sending Eric off to the University of Idaho, Moscow in two weeks. Lots of big bucks for that. Pay as you go, but we will get there. I find pleasure in the journey, and the destination should be a blast also.

Gee - thanx for the vote of confidence!
I have however, not always been the refined speciman you meet at rallies.... I grew up on a farm and drove tractors, mucked stalls, cleaned hoofs and lugged hay bales - heck, I even fished dead critters out of the well and learned to pickle okra (for the truely brave).
That bobcat is fun - problem is every time I go to push in the clutch - the bucket raises.....
