Propane tank clamp/bracket

My bracket that screws down on to the top of the propane tanks and holds them in place is cracked. Anyone have a spare they want to sell?

Try craigslist in Santa Cruz, CA. Someone was trying to off one for the last few weeks.

Is this the one you need? Gas bottle hold-down bracket 101796 [101796] - $29.95 : ODMRV , Out-of-Doors Mart

There's also one without the regulator bracket: http://odmrv.com/catalog/index.php?m...roducts_id=276

They have used a high flow aluminum alloy which is good for easy sand casting but it contains too much silica in the formula which make it very strong but it has almost none of the elongation found in other aluminum alloys. All these brackets are subject to cracks, if you tighten them or they are subject to sudden shock. There is no easy answer to this problem and I am not sure whether the new brackets are made from a more appropriate alloy. Mine cracked also.

My old Safari has a steel one. That's what was listed for sale in Santa Cruz craigslist recently, also. I wouldn't trust an aluminum one.
