if I wanted mine silver, like airstreams, would it be better to paint it silver or strip it?

I wanted to share my paint. it seems like I can't get the picture small enough. I think that it's easier to restore these TT's then post pic's about them

Why blend in when you can stand out.

I was inspired by a picture of a special model Airstream I had found on the internet. I tried to find the picture later for reference and was unable to. It was painted by myself and a friend with painting experience in a vacant bakery facility.

The colors are a mid 70's Ford blue and a special silver mix from a local paint supply house. It is a base coat / clear coat system. We added flattener to the clear coat as we did not want the glossy exterior . Went more for a velvety finish which I think is better for a wavy riveted panel.

We are planning our 1976 Argosy renovation and I'm curious... Do most people get their trailer professionally painted or DIY?
