I think I am going to use the Krylon, it might be a couple of years before I can actually get it painted. I had even thought about painting a mural on the sides of her, since it is just going to be temporary paint, anyway, lol!

Hey, a hippy Argosy, COOL! Can you post some pics of your Argosy now, so we can see before and after?

I'll try to get some pics on here, if I can figure out how to do it. I have to take some more first. If I do a mural it will be of soft rolling hills with a highway and a little Airstream or two making it's way along, with maybe a tree in the forground and some flowers and butterflies. Just for fun until we can get a real paint job! Not really a hippy trailer, tho my daughter said that since it is in the 70's, flowers and peace signs should be the theme! NOT!

When you get pictures loaded on your computer, just post a reply, click on "go advanced" right below the post, then click on "manage attachments" and a box with all those "browse" thingys will appear. Click on the first "browse" and it will ask you what you want to download. I go to "My Pictures" find the one I want, double click on it and then the "browse" box thing comes back on. Keep doing the above until you get all the picutres you want to post. Then go down to the right in that little box and hit "upload". It will tell you to wait. When it finishes "close" with the box up in the upper right corner. Then just hit the regular "Post Reply" like usual. Hope this helps you.

Thanks, I'll try that and see if I can manage to get it right. Got to get the pictures I took today, in my computer first.

After going to an auto paint supplier who mixed a can of the Dupont Centari # 4452-A, it was a light biege and my 78 Argtosy is more of an off white. I will try the Krylon # 1504 Ivory Gloss and the Dupli-Color T 205W Wimbledon White to see which is the best match.
Thanks for all your information, it really is important for all of us to have your input on these projects. Why re-invent the wheel?

I did test a small spot on my 76 Argosy to see it if it would match, and when it dried, I couldn't see where I sprayed it. So the Krylon will work for me.

Here is a picture of my 75 Argosy. The end cap was painted using Dupont 44534-A Centari. Below the window and the rest of the trailer is the original paint.

I think every year had a different shade of cream. Actually, I'm not too sure that each trailer wasn't just a different shade to make us crazy when we ended up with these 20+ years later. The guys who built these are probably still laughing.

Heck, I think they made every Argosy different! I haven't seen two exactly alike yet! They all have some little factory thing different, if it isn't the toothbrush holder, or the bathroom counter, or the closet arrangement, it's something else.

[quote=juel]POR-15 Marine CleanŽ - Quart This is what I use and it really, really works, inside and out. Please be sure to rinse it as the directions say.

Do they charge shipping on that? I looked at their web site and wasn't sure, couldn't find a shipping rate anywhere.
