Aaron congrats on your new argosy, and welcome to the forums. Are painting the interior or exterior of the trailer?

After cleaning well, I took one of the end clips from the rubrail..or you can possibly find some other removeable piece. Then I took it to a highly skilled and reputable auto paint provider and they put it in one of their machines to come up with a color. Then he gave me, free, a pint to try. It is just exactly the color it was meant to be. I would not at all use any other color than that near the original if you want to keep it true vintage. Otherwise, paint it pink! Enjoy your repair voyage.

Shermantic, My 75 Argosy 26 is an ivory color down to the rubrail and a dark brown metallic below that. the Dupont code for the ivory color is 44534-A. The metallic brown is 44721-AM. However your 72 might have the two tone - light beige above the belt line and a darker beige below. I do not know the codes for those colors. The lighter color maybe the same as the ivory on my 75.

Hi, I bought a can of Krylon Ivory Gloss for touch ups. It matched so well that when I bought paint for the whole trailer, I had it mixed using the cap from the can under the "eye" of the machine. Perfect match. Don't forget the self etching primer.
A bright A/S is nice but a sharp Argosy is very cool because you just don't see many. Kinda like a sharp Maverick or Pacer. We do love our's.

Hi Aaron, I used Wemledon White, that is a Ford color from the 60s 70s. That is the closest I could find and someone told me that was the original color of Argosy. I used Dupont Imron on my Argosy and the bottom is a GM fleet grey. If you want some better pics pm me.

I am from Smithfield WV in Wetzel Co. not far from you.
