No water pump

Have no water pump after checking the trailer after a recent cold snap. I've had the trailer plugged in for two days as the battery had died. I checked the fuses and one was blown, 30 amp, and I replaced it to no avail.

The carpet under the water pump is wet and the pump itself is hot....ok, very warm.

Could a line have split and thus the pump continually run and then burned out?

Thanks for any suggestions.

Did it freeze where you are? If so, the water line runs behind the refer ( at least in my Argosy) it may have frozen because of the exposure to the outside air where the refer vents. If the line froze the pump ran until the pressure switch was satisfied and then shut down. If yours is like mine, try getting some heat on the line. A heavy duty hair drier might do it. Open the outside hatch behind the refer a see if the water line passes thru the area, it will be right up against the outside wall.

I would think its likely you could have breaks in all sorts of places if the whole system froze. Is it copper or pex? More likely to be the pump if all your pipe is Pex, I think Pex is likely to be more forgiving than copper (although a plumber can correct me on this). Wet under the pump suggests the water in the pump froze and cracked the plastic top to the pump. I have done that several times with my cleaning trucks. If its just a cracked lid, then there are replacement parts that can be bought. This was an easy fix for me when I split the outlet on my pump because of over tightening (lesson there) because we have all kinds of pump suppliers around us. If its a Shureflow then parts and repair kits are available, if its generic, just replace it and make sure the outlets match what you have as they can be male or female.
