New To Me
I am new to this, been here just once. Just got a 76 argosy 28 and is great shape, been in the family for 30 years. My uncle got it new and then gave it to my cousions who had it completely gone over inside and out and then put it storage for about ten years. There maintance man would start it about once a week and then park it inside and cover it up. I gave about 4,000 for it don't know if it's worth it being 30yrs old. I do know it needs front air bags, can they still be had and if so how hard are they to install. It is cool. Any help would be great. Thanks

I think that's a very fair price for a unit in great shape. I'd even go so far as to consider that a steal.
Keep an eye on the rubber parts...tire, hoses, etc. Even though the unit was not used, these tend to dry rot. Also I would flush the brake fluid as that tend to collect water over time.
I'd love to see some pics of it if you post them!

That said, welcome to the forums! We're very happy to hear that you're the new owner.... we only hope that you will use it more than your cousins.

Not sure if you know, you have a P30 Chevy Chasis
You'll need that for the Air Bags

John, to post photos just use the manage attachments button below or the paperclip icon above the text box. Remember to upload before closing that dialog box and you're good to go. Lower res. photos work best as we have some space limitations.

Boy what a beauty!!!!!!
You have two batteries/
One is a "House Battery
The other is the Starting battery.
You may have a Univolt, but that's not it.
I'm sure someone will chime in!
Oh, Welcome!

Hard to install, yes and no if you have the tools
I replaced the springs in mine when I put the air bags in, 29 years old...

there are a few threads on replacing the air bags--use the search function. We had an RV place do ours to save on the frustration and the busted knuckles. We can not keep ours at home and it was NOT a job for the local park!! Looks like you got a great unit!!! Many happy years travelling!!
