Thumbs up New member-72 Argosy 24'

Hello all,
I got my new (1972) Argosy a few months ago from my uncle for $5.00 bucks.
everything works and it is in emaculate condition and clean (Aunt is a neat freak) lol, Well I am doing some cleaning as it did sit for about 15 years but no leaks, cracks or structural damage. I have been going through the fourms and learning allot but am sure I will have some questions. Oh, just thought of one. I need to cauke the windows inside and out...Is there a special kind I need to use?
I look forward to speaking to you all!

Welcome tot he forums!
There is a special "caulk" for sealing seams etc on your coach. The two products most widely used are Silkaflex and Vulchem.
This is much preferred over caulk, as caulk is not really designed for sealing metal in a continual flexing condition.
To answer your next question in advance, either product can be purchased direct form Airstream, or a couple of sources here on the forums. A search for "silkaflex" will yield names of vendors, and application methods. A search for "vulkem" will do the same for that product. Good luck with your neww project.

Welcome. Always good to see another Argosy owner on the forum. I have a 78 24ft and I can't say enough good things about it. Of course I paid a little more than $5.00, but it has been worth every dollar I've spent on it. Balgrn and I are avid Argosy folks and if you have questions about the decorating you can ask me, anything else you better ask balgrn. He can do anything with his trailers and has been a real help to me. Welcome again and you can look forward to some fun camping in Arkansas, next Spring. You have a great state to travel in.
