New Argosy owner 1987 27'

Picked this up from the original owner, it sat on a lake property in AR with a single annual trip to KS for bird hunting. It's mostly original and in good shape. I plan to use it as guest quarters and as occasional travel trailer, initially RV sites as I get some things updated I'd like to do some boondocking in it.
It's a pretty big unit, 29'6" tip to tip, full bed in back, dinette, foldout sofa. Overall I'm pretty impressed with the quality of the build/finish out, much nicer than new TT's, except of course the new AS.

The first thing I'm doing is minding the gaps, her seams and seals need some attention. I'll be replacing the roof vents, three, with something current(Maxxair). I haven't diagnosed the Coleman AC but being in TX, that will happen pretty darn soon. The seals and seal covers are all blown out/dryrotted and need to be replaced. I've looked at some of the vintage providers and stuff just seems a little different than what's installed on AS of the same period.

Advise is appreciated.

Pay super close attention to the roof and roof seam seals. The construction techniques they used on the square Argosy and Airstream units was a bit unusual, and they had a tendency to develop serious roof leak issues. At least that was the thing I saw in inspection of several over the years.

Yes, they were nice units inside, and kept leak free, they are a very nice unit.

My congratulations on your rig.
