The interior is in super shape! Carpet is not worn, floor is solid, even at the entry. I will be getting this one home at the end of the week. Tires are marginal. Owner said the electric musta been bad, it made a hum when he plugged into shore power. So they never plugged it in again. Of coarse I got the bill of sale in hand before I told him that was normal.
I love the floor plan. Looks just like this one

Has the original 4 track stereo intact. Bathroom fixtures all look good. Just need to take a good look at the running gear. If that is bad.........

Your too funny, thought you'd get a kick out of it. Bonus points for astute observation. You should see the battery box Nice vines growing out of it too.
Got it up in Eliot Maine last night. It is in nice shape too.
And yes it was a wicked bargain

I think you could start with weeding. As the person who sold you your first Airstream I do not know if I should take responsibility for these urges of yours.

Talking This makes 3

Towed the 73 home last night. Other than no lights it towed great! (3/4 ton P/U) Best part was when the foot ball came flying off the roof. I was in the chase vehicle, we went over a RR track and I had to duck and weave to miss a foot ball that became dislodged from up on the roof some where. TOO FUNNY!

Just got in from giviing it a good bath, Had qiute a bit of green scum down the side that did not recieve much sunlight. Looks presentable now. No leaks so far. No electric either, we'll have to dig around to see what is disconnected. But that is for another day.

Argosy 26 update

I finally had a chance to check out the '73 Argosy 26.
First attempt I could not get shore power to work. It still has the original Univolt. After a while I wiggled it out far enough from its hiding place in the rear curb side corner. Everything looked fine, the PO told me they only plugged it in once as it made a humming sound and scared the heck out of them. I loosened and tightened all the fittings for the wires. Followed the lead in wire to ensure it was in one piece. Checked the breaker connections, cycled the breakers about a dozen times. Plugged it back in and viola! That pesky Univolt hum! Tested all the wall outlets, all work, turned the lights on, Everything OK, Turned the original stereo on thinking, yeah right, as if this is going to work. It started blasting Oldies out like it was, well, almost new. Not sure about the Fridge yet. Has power to all the terminals, need to turn it on for a day to see if it gets cold, It did not for the 2 hours I had it on!
Turned on the AC and to my surprise it works!!! Quite a few things flew out but the compressor kicked in and fan blew a pretty stiff breeze!

Exclamation Now I've seen bout everything

The PO, bless em, of the '73 26'er had a unique way to install the comode! They used a household wax ring to hold it in place and wood screws from the underside to hold it down. Had to cut thrpugh the screws that I could not remove, and spin it out of the black tank
