New 1979 Argosy Minuet 6.7!

Just made the call and purchased a 1979 Minuet 22-foot!!
It does have some minor issues but with all the knowledge and assistance here I am sure I will be able to overcome those!
Here are some pics:

Thanks for all your help! (just thought I would say it ahead of time)

Welcome!
Yes indeed, plenty of info here. Interesting that you have A/C. Perhaps you can help out in the other thread concerning this?

Mike.

Your first major project should be to get rid of the big box on the rear end.

First of all, it will cause rear end separation and definitely destroys necessary tongue weight.

A load equalizing hitch would be useless.

Towing that trailer would be a hazard.

Andy,
Thank for the recommendation. I was able to bring the Minuet home today, and looked real close at the box and how it was attached. It really looks like the Minuets frame is all one piece and extends out to the back of the lower black box (not the truck box on top). The black lower part looks like it might be original. Here is a couple of pics.

I thought that somewhere I saw somebody else had said that their frame looked like a 24' frame with a 22' body. Did Airstream ever do that?
Thanks
Mike

Someone may have welded an extension to the frame, but it still should go. As Andy pointed out, it changes the balance of the rig, and not for the better.
As an aside, you might find this URL interesting:

Argonaut,
Thanks for the link!
I will have to scrape away the truck bed liner to see if there is any welding.

Gunner says the same thing, about the frame length. It makes me wonder.
