Been working on the new trailer for a couple of weeks. Nothing major because it needed nothing major. Just a few updates.

I replaced the missing antenna with a new one.

I saw a screen guard on a new airstream when I went to get new curtain sliders. I liked the idea for my dogs. I like them up and saw that they were around $70. I went to our local builders salvage and found a piece of expanded aluminum for $8.95 Also picked up two aluminum channels for $.95 each. Then I set out to build my own.

Real pleased with how it turned out for $10

Also got some snazzy new decals in the mail today.

Other accomplishments include rebuilding the toilet with all new internals, fixing leak under kitchen sink, a little decorating, etc. Picked out fabric for new curtains that the wife will be making. so more on that later. Taking it on its maiden family campout over Labor Day weekend to the beach. Excited!

Very Nice.
The layout in yours is just like ours.
The guy ahead of you had it painted or so it would appear.

Welcome from Another Airstreamer from Forsyth County

Congratulations on your new Argosy and welcome to Airstreaming. Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park is an Airstream only park (Argosy trailers are welcome, too) located 16 miles north of Floyd, VA and is about 2 hours door-to-door for us. More information about the park is available from the park's Facebook page or website. It is a beautiful location on a mountain top (2,800 ft.) and is a great close get-away for us.

Hope to meet you soon.

Went on our first family adventure in the Argosy to Myrtle Beach, SC over the weekend. Everything went great! Everyone loved the camper.

I was looking at your pictures and noticed he spare tire behind the gas tanks. I was wondering if you had any additional pictures around the tire specifically how the spare tire is held in place. Thanks and the trailer looks great I how you enjoy it lots.

great idea on the screen. I've seen the perforated plate from a local supplier - going to have to hunt for the z-trim. Think I like is this is a simple project that can be completed in a couple of hours!

Hello, first time on the forum and looking to meet others with similar Argosy. I noticed yours is a 77' Argosy. I just got a similar 77' Argosy which sat abandoned on top of a mountain for 20 years. Will be pulling it out first time next week. Wish me luck.

I'll start searching the forum.

Regards, J. in San Diego
