Wink Motorola Radio + 8 track player

Sorry for the add on but I forgot to mention that the Motorola radio and 8 track player seem to work fine except that there is a loud humming in the background no matter what I do. Do's anyone have thoughts on this? Someone said it is the converter when on A/C. Some one else said it is an improper ground, but I'm not sure what to do about it as the radio works fine and it looks so cool.

I thought I once heard the old converters had three outputs, one for the batteries, one for things that didn't need filtered power, and one for those that did. Is it possible it's on the wrong power lead from the converter?

Isolate the supply source. If it is 12vdc, direct connect to battery, if 110ac, run an extension from the house. Take the converter out of the equation if possible....
