Maybe the first argosy brochure

Hello everyone,My wife and i restored a 1972 Argosy over the summer and we have been looking for a 1972 sales brochure. Our Argosy came with a original owners manual and a 73 sales brochure. This brochure was given to them the day they picked out there Argosy in Feb 1973.We have been searching for a 72 and i believe we have found at least a flyer or ??from the new 1972 Argosy.Very neat.Take a look ,we are very excited to have found this but still feel there may be a actual brochure(booklet like the 73 ,16 pager)out there.Hope you enjoy the pictures.
Take care
Terry and Tammy

Love that shot of the Eldorado blasting down the dirt road, Argosy in tow.

Thanks for sharing.

Looking at the Eldorado photo. I sure hope that they took that shot WITHOUT weight distributing hitch. Remembering that Eldo's at that point were front wheel drive, look at how high the front end on the Eldorado......just sayin.....lol
Thanks, Derek

My wife and i have just purchased a 1972 argosy 26 ft and i wondered if you might have any information about the sewer dump mechanism. Apparently someone removed everything from the tank out.
Also,i would like to find a owners manual.
Can you help?
Thanks,
loren

Can you take some pics. I have a '74 26' with a rear bath and may be able to help.

I was able to get two pics. They are a little nasty looking, but the fitting is just below the waste valve in the middle of the rear wall. We are missing everything from trhere out.
Thanks for your help.

Is the outlet close to the outside edge of the trailer? You say the waste valve is above this fitting? I see what appears to be a smaller line coming into the side. I will assume this is the grey water. I don't believe there is a grey water tank in your trailer.
This setup is different than on my '74 Argosy. All of the waste water plumbing is in the rear trunk.
If I had to guess, it looks like the discharge pipe has ears on it that will match a Thetford end cap (for travel) and a hose connector for dumping the black and grey water. Of course the grey water would require connection to a campground sewer connection or the use of a portable tote.
Are there any waste hoses in the trailer? If so there may be a bayonet fitting on one end of the hose that will fit the outlet. If not, measure the outside diameter of the discharge pipe and post it here.
I just bought a new end cap and bayonet hose fittings and can give you the info.

Right on!

Thanks tg,
i think you figured it out for me.
The outlet is in the middle back edge of the trailer and there is no grey water tank. We will just use a portable tank.
I think you are right about the thetford fitting. I'll measure it and let you know. I bought a hose with a fitting at walmart that would not fit so that tells me that it's a thetford bayonet fitting like you suspected.
Again, thanks so much for help. It really helps to put two heads together. I'll be in touch.

Loren
