LPG lines
Just got a look under my 73 Argosy 24 and was surprised to see the lpg gas lines exposed beneath the belly pan. Is this normal? Myself I would have put them inside to protect them from road hazards. Granted it is much easier to check for leaks etc. with the lines exposed. I suppose there are good arguments for doing it either way. What was the norm?

It is exactly the way it should be. Picture in you mind if you will, propane gas laying inside the belly pan of your Argosy...that's why they are outside.

For safety, it is I critical that all connections are exposed and that the bulk of the tubing is outside of the trailer. Should there be a leak, you want it to dissipate and not build up anywhere.

Outside the belly pan. LP is heavier than air. Ever seen the end results of a boat blowing up due to vapors in the bilge? Not pretty!

Only dumb question is the one that doesn't get asked and causes you pain and suffering.

No such thing as a dumb question. I was just under mine pondering a belly pan removal and "clean out". This story was fresh in my mind so glad to see them there.
