Perhaps Airstream used Argosy like GM used Oldsmobile, to try out new ideas, like the wrap-around windows.

Exactly

That is exactly what Airstream did.. if an idea was liked by Argosy buyers, then a year later, it would show up in the Airstream line. The Argosy was the R&D piece for Airstream... and in my mind, those guys over at the Versailles plant were out to prove that their product was just as good or better then the Airstream product.... a pride thing. Plus, their end caps don't dent as easily.... I really like the Agronskis!

Argosy's were meant to be an affordable way to get in the family and then later move up to the AS. They are not step children.

But, Argosy owner's were not eligible for membership in the WBCCI.
I never understood that one.

Right, it was years before they were allowed in.... oh, and many Argosy owners get confused and even polish their Agronski...

A stripped and polished Agronski looks really cool I do say so myself.

Take the stove and oven to get powder coated. I am sure there is a buiness in the area that does it. That metal will look like brand new and it can with stand heat up to 450 degrees. Hot rod builders use it on their engines. It comes in all colors and you can match it to the color of the metal.

Home depot also has new on the market a formica paint. My counter top is the same color as yours and we are going to try this new product. Home depot says the paint is selling really well.

LOL. As often as you say it, you don't have one.

Minuets started in 1977. They are narrower than your coach and have a slightly different floorplan and interior furnishings. It's true that the Minuet 7.3Metre (also 24') has tandem axles.

Congrats on the trailer. I think they're cool enough that I have a yearning for a second one, hopefully a rear-door Argosy someday - of all of the vintage trailers out there, it's the one I'd want to pay to restore the most.

Our countertop is green also, and as that particular color was the new "hot" color for spring, in patio and kitchen accessories, we capitalized on it and have acrylic tumblers, pitchers and salad bowls to match.

Ahhh, that wonderful tobacco stain yellow... Nice to get it covered over, huh?

Hint: make sure you force your camera to use the flash when you take a pic with a bright area in it; you'll get more even detail.
