Lighting

I have a 1977 Argosy and I am updating the light fixtures and lightbulbs to LED. I am wondering if I have to specifically get 12 volt light bulbs? Everything I've found at the store is 120 volts. Also, do I have to replace the fixtures with RV fixtures or can I get any light fixture? I'm very new to this and can use any information from anyone who has done this!

I ordered LED bulbs originally from Vintage Trailer Supply & LED4RV, but didn’t like the color temperature options.

Found them on eBay in the right color, and bought 20 bulbs for the price of 3 through either of the other two.

I've been looking on eBay too. What about the fitures, did you try any from vintage trailer supply? I'd like to just use some I found at the store but it sounds like the wiring might be different? I've been researching for days and can't find what I'm looking for

We used ones similar to this, worked great and we liked warm light better than the white light.

Sorry about the delay in responding! I didn’t swap any fixtures, only bulbs. Hope you find what you need!!!

I too have a 1977 Argosy. I want to replace the lighting as well with something more modern (please don’t bash me for modernizing) but I’m not finding any advice online either. Most of this stuff seems like it’s gonna be a trial and error type thing. I’m following for advice too but I’ll let you know if I make any more head way in the meantime.

Really favoring this look:

FYI there is a more general lighting sub-forum:
