LED Lights

any recomendations on replacing both interior and exterior lights with LED on my '77 Argosy? the automotive 12V bulbs are a little dim inside, old fixtures of course......my buddies new Safari had teardrop LED exterior lights that look stunning at night,,,,,,but would not look right on vintage argosy. Perhaps replace bulbs with LED and new lenses??
Dan

Suggest you give these folks a call:

LEDs 4, Recreational Vehicles

Very good communications and customer service is very important to them. Also they are members here.

x2 - excellent customer service. Just checked their web site and they (finally) got rid of that bright green background. Much more readable now.

We tried a few and gave some away. We liked the Swego Light best for reading. Surprisingly good light. Somewhat annoying Customer Service if you have to call, but the product is great.

You can buy just the LED light itself too.

Concur 100% with the Chief's comments in #2 above.

I've used LED4RVs products on both my rigs. Exterior: I've got their tail light kit (much brighter and safer than stock bulbs) and use an LED on the porch light above the main hatch and I've got an LED inside the flood light. All the running lights are stock. INTERIOR: I've replaced all interior bulbs with LEDs (except 2 florescent lights above the sink). In fact, I'm using one of the LED reading lights right now as I type this.

I'd use LED4RV's anytime. Good folks to work with.

My $0.02

Yes, you will appreciate the brighter light and your batts will appreciate the lower drain. We picked up our 1/2 turn in direct replacement "patio" light LED at the local dealer for ~$15. The auctions on line also offer very inexpensive replacements for inside... we had good luck and delivery even from China - where most are made anyway... no guarantee, but they all worked when we installed... at pennies on the dollar. I ordered extrasjust in case they were not of reliable quality, but didn't have even one failure.

X3, all my LEDs came from Dan. One issue was resolved without hassle free of any charge after a year of use.
