Introducing ... The Mobile Man Cave! 1972 22 FT

I just wanted to introduce the Mobile Man cave! (MMC) I found this great camper on craigslist last Saturday bought it on the spot after the guy before me made an offer they turned down. I had a 73 24 ft for a while but I let it go to a good home and have been missing it. The seller had bought it from the original owners 25 years ago and used it for about ten years and then put in storage after that. He said everything was in working order when he stored it and he expected it would all work. I gave it a good once over hooked it to my truck to see if the lights all worked which they did and handed the cash to them. I was amazed that the light all worked as well as the brakes and headed home. It pulled like a dream. This week I have been testing the systems and just like he told me everything works! It has all the original appliances and they all work. The lights all work the univolt hums away and the water system has no leaks. There was even LP in the tanks and I am running the refrigerator on LP right now to cool it down for a driveway camp out tonight. It has a few scars on the outside but so do I so I cant be to hard on it. Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Looks real nice, and good to find one which has not been beat to pieces after 43 years. Have fun with it and all your other ones.

Thanks , all but the 69 Trailblazer are "projects". I was not expecting the Argosy to be as nice as it was when I went to look at it. The Trailblazer is better than new almost a show piece so now I can have the MMC for guy stuff like swap meets or let my son take it for a guys week end and not worry about it.

Looks great! We have a 1972 22ft Argosy also. It is getting a new paint job as we speak! We are hoping they call us next week and tell us to come get it!!
We have left the interior original, so it looks almost just like yours.

I like the original stuff as long as it works. I still need to pull the furnace and check for the defective part that caused a recall back in the day before I start using it.

Thanks for sharing the photos and the price sheet! Looks to be in great condition and ready to go. How far did you have to tow it to get it home? Did you swap the tires out first?

I think it was about 70 miles and the tires looked and felt perfect very soft like new no cracks. I checked them often and they are still like new.
