Intro - and my brand new '74 Argosy 28

Greetings!

After months of dreaming and searching, and watching on particular trailer on craigslist, I have managed to secure my own 1974 Argosy 28". Just got her home yesterday and haven't had the chance to get to work on her. She's fairly complete but definitely a project!

Will try to get some more detailed pictures up soon but for now, let me say hello and give you guys a little look.

looks good

It looks great... How did it ride behind your f150? My wife and I are going to get the identical trailer today in North Carolina and im a ball of nerves. I havent pulled much with my F150. Cant wait to see some interior photos of your trailer.

It pulled great for a light truck pulling a trailer with 40 year old axles. little bit of sway, but not too bad at all. my truck only has a six cylinder and a manual transmission and it had no problems whatsoever. These trailers are great!

Congrats!

I love seeing new Argosy owners since I am such, myself! Looking forward to seeing your new project unfold. I, too haven't really started any work, but I've been reading a lot and soaking it all in. Everyone here is really helpful and friendly, all working for common cause

Welcome to the forums, best of luck!

Congratulations!

I took a look at that same Argosy on Saturday, but decided that I really couldn't do it justice since I'm already getting overwhelmed with the snowballing details of fixing up my own little dream, the 1976 22' Argosy that I picked up on craigslist a couple of weeks ago. ;-)

I think that you got one heck of a bargain and a trailer with a lot of really fun possibilities. Good luck! :-)

Thanks to you all for your enthusiasm... I sit here on my iPad all night looking for ideas of what I want to do. Can't wait to get at it and get started. First real opportunity will be this weekend. Then we'll see what we've really got. Pictures are coming.
