How to tell Minuet subfloor material?

After a five week trip with our T@B, we've learned that we love camping with a trailer and towing with our Odyssey - but we would love some wardrobe space and a toilet. So we're looking for a Minuet. (I feel bad for missing a few nice ones on eBay recently.)

I'd like one with the aluminum composite subfloor - one less thing to have to replace. Is there an easy way to spot the floor type - is it obvious if you look under the gaucho or dinette?

I'm curious because, having never been in a Minuet, I want/need to know how to ask a seller what type of floor his trailer has.

Thanks
Tom

On ours you could look under the seating (open the storage compartment) and lift the carpet to reveal the floor. It was just laid in there - no adhesive.

overlander64 would have posted the best information on this. The honeycomb composite aluminum floors were prototyped in only a few of the Argosy Minuet years IIRC.
- Go to Search; then advanced search.
- Put composite in the 'Search by keyword' field (only! it truly does one-word searches best).
- Put overlander64 in the 'Search by ... username' field.
- Scroll down and at the lower left select 'Show results as ... posts'

Read away. It will take some effort to narrow this down. Get back to us when you've found the Argo of your dreams!

Canoestream, thanks. I've read lots of overlander64's posts and PM'ed him several times - just never checked actually how to physically confirm the floor material.

IIRC, the composite floors were on "a majority" of 77-78 6.0 Metres, a handful of 6.7 Metres, and were gone by 79.

Thanks
Tom

Open the refrigerator access door and look at the floor there. Open the door in front of the furnace and look at the floor there. Look at the floor in the back closet, under the pressure regulator. These are all places that lack carpet. Might have to rub dirt away, though.
