Friendliness

One thing I've noticed, most of the people on this site are friendly and helpfull, no matter what model AS trailer you have or how you use it.

I joined the **** *** Club a few years ago, and they can get rude on their forum site if you ask the "wrong" question. I like a forum without all the smart as comments. Thanks!

I agree.. no shortage of friendly people here. I always amazes me that you can ask a question and someone will run out to their airstream to verify something and answer you back..

Pretty awesome if you ask me.

It's a very welcoming and helpful community. When I first came here I knew nothing about towing, camping, or RVs, I just knew I wanted one of those cool old Airstreams. Folks here have been so helpful from the very start, even helping talk me through major repairs. I've had the chance to meet many of them in person as well, and it seems like Airstreams really attract a fine group of people.

Hi, and for a long time I thought I was the only person to go out to my trailer in the middle of the night to check or verify something and even take pictures for posting.

Good nature is contagious. The folks here are pretty special. Even when you get the occasional smarty pants or negative nay-sayer, someone is there is call them out on their inappropriateness when they take things too far. That's what good neighbors do; look out for one another.

Totally agree

I will read these post until I get ready to go to bed at night. I get up and grab the laptop to see what is new. To me this is an example of what America really is. I want to thank every one for making this such a great forum.

In Roberts case he has to find the keys to the Lincoln, move away all the wheel locks and safety devices.. hitch up and pull out towards the street so he can OPEN THE DOOR.. run inside and take that measurement. Then do the reverse all at midnight, run back inside and post his findings and hope there wasnt a second question

Now thats Airforums commitment!

It's great having that sense of security that these forums has given us knowing whatever problem develops with the AS there's always many members here willing to help you troubleshoot/repair it then having the opportunity to share that knowledge with someone else.
Also it's a great way to start out every day by laughing while reading emails which include new jokes, favorite sayings, comedy club etc.,etc.

Hey Anne,

Click the User CP button on the blue bar near the top of your screen. Then click the Edit Avatar button on the left hand of the next screen to add a photograph.

Regards,

Kevin

We have found that for the most part, folks on this Forum are HAPPY people in a sometimes unhappy world. (Is it because we love our Airstreams??) Happy people are nice people. And we like nice.

My spouse, Angela, just calls that behavior a symptom of an obsession... Thanks for renaming it "helpfulness" - it has a much nicer ring to it!

Success of Life

The experience of Camaraderie is the legacy given the Airstream Nation by Wally Byam and Helen Byam Schwamborn. Underneath the shell of aluminum is genuine love.

Yes, these AIRFORUMS are addictive!

Yes, I am also guilty of running out to Lucy to photograph some important component or accessory that makes Airstreaming less troublesome and more fun.

Yes, I try hard to make newcomers feel welcome. I guess that I am subconsciously trying to draw others into the cult.

Yes, I am one of the happy people here on the Forums. Curmudgeons appear on these Forums from time to time. They try to bring down the mood. They either become happier or they move on to other forums where curmudgia (my term) is the order of the day. Life is too short to concentrate on being unhappy.

The "Forumheads", as SuEllyn refers to us, are always anxious to share their discoveries and solutions to problems. I find it refreshing to see this attitude. I guess that's why I spend so much time here.

Airstreaming is a great activity. The travel, the adventure, and the new experiences are very satisfying. These Forums contribute significantly to the Airstreaming Experience. Pay it forward.

Curmudgeons need not apply!

I have included a picture of Lucy because it makes me feel good to see her.

Well she's a beauty. I named mine Patty. Then people have taken that and called her Patty Wagon, or Princess Patty, or Party Patty, but she's just Patty to me. Enjoy!

I think you will find that the people here are as nice or even nicer in person. We were very apprehensive when we first joined about meeting new people, cause we are kinda old and set in our ways. But we were encouraged by several members and were greeted with open arms. Everything you need to know is rite here. We also were shunned by members of that other club. So we are content and feel privileged to be AIRFORMS members. Get out to an Airforums Rally You will love it.
