Entry Door Locks

Anyone know of a place to get keys for the 1976 Argosy Cabin Door. My local locksmith tells me he needs to know the size of the key blank before he can make a new key.

LRPorter.

Argosys were not built in 1967.

If you post your serial number, I can guide you to some keys.

AH, here I go again, working too many hours.

Sorry, LRPorter, I misread the year of your trailer.

Keys are not available, as such.

But you should have a KT Lock.

We have tumblers and keys for them.

Andy

I guess they should have given the call to me.

The keys come with a tumbler.

We do not have any key blanks and I don't know where you could ever find them.

Sorry for any misunderstanding.

No Keys

When I got my '64 Bambi II there were no keys. I took it to a local locksmith and they made new keys, door knob and dead bolt keyed alike and new keys for the three access panels all keyed alike. I now have only two keys to open every lock on the trailer, plus three more spare sets of two keys. Total cost for the locksmithing + 8 keys was $49.00. In my opinion, A bargain.

I searched and finally found a locksmith that was willing to work on the lock. He repaired the lock and made me 4 new keys. The lock needs some coaxing but is getting better. I know I paid less $20.00. If at first you do not suceed keep looking. I did and it paid off.

Locksmith SHOPS pay off!!!

Lynn -

As you found out. Locks are emininently 'fixable' if you have the time.

I wound up going to a locksmith 'shop' for a pinball machine lock issue, and found LOTS of stuff that has applicability for AS's. You can get inetrior and exterior locks that are keyed the same/ similar/ different. You can get virtually ANY combination of locks/ keys, you want for LOTS less than the visit will cost you. A visit will likely get you a very limited array since they can only carry SO much in a mobile situation.

You bring them something where they have the machinery, time and the inclination, and 'Katie - Bar the Door!' There is no limit to the combinations.

My experience.
