Thumbs up Deciphering ID Number

I just purchased a 1974 Argosy that has been neglected for some time (somewhat of an understatement). I do not have any paperwork on it and would like to decipher the ID number. Is there a site that I can go to for that information? I have manual in the mail will that help?

I would like to express my appreciation to the users of this forum. In the past I have gone online to chat rooms and other sites regarding cars (hot rods, muscle cars) and have not had good experiences. The few days I have logged on to this forum I have been presently surprised how a newcomer is received and how willing guidance is offered. Thank you.

Try this site: Vintage Airstream Photo Archives

Argosys are near the bottom.

Airstream recently added much more comprehensive VIN data to their corporate website. The Argosy is mixed in with Airstream. You will need to look to the far right in the charts (scrolling down the page) to locate the place of manufacture -- VOH stands for Versailles, OH where Argosy travel trailers were manufactured. You can find this data at this link.

Good luck with your Argosy!

Did they not make Argosy travel trailers in 1975?

Yes, Argosy trailers were produced in 1975, but for some reason, they are much less common in the Airstream community today.

I thought so. They're not listed in the link you provided however....
That was a year for some rear door models, wasn't it?

Airstream hasn't provided any information on the 1975 Argosy travel trailers, and only minimal in 1976, 1977 (no breakdown by length, and nothing specific to the Minuet for any of its three model years). There was a time when this data was said to be "lost" so it is good to see at least some of the Argosy data surfacing.

That's for sure.
I really like how Airstream has been upgrading their site recently. Far more vintage friendly now.

Thanks Kevin.
