It has been almost a year since our last post on this thread. The Flex Steel couches we bought for Costalotta (see post 138) didn't hold up very well so it was back to my brother-in-law Chuck to start over. We got this idea from Robert (ROBERTSUNRUN) but since Chuck does things a little over kill it is a little different. The couch on the right is 60 inches long and the one on the left is 74 inches long. The seat is 5 inch foam and the back is 4 inch foam. The material is micro-fibre and wears well. They work great and now we have even more space to put things.

Marvin,

Thanks for posting all these photos. People will get some good ideas here. The pull-out across the entry area is especially intriguing.

Regrettably, Iím going to have to modify my sofa too. And the upholstery was just about the most expensive thing in my trailer.

I specified the densest, thickest foam: 5 1/2Ē. This was probably a naÔve mistake because now my feet donít touch the ground and sitting is uncomfortable. Iíll have to slice the cushions down about 1Ē I think.

I donít have any photos of mine, save this partial one of the amidships sofa.

If your bottom cushion is 5Ē and the back 4Ē how do you compensate for that when you make them into a bed?

Nice work.

Sergei, They don't make into beds, they would be to wide. We can take the back cushion off and they will sleep a 5 ft. person on one and a 6 ft. person on the other.

I love the pull out draw you can access from outside. Too bad it isn't refrigerated

Hi, Marvin & Annie. Great job on the couches. With this floor plan we now enjoy our living room much more than the original set-up and I'm sure you will too. We went to Pismo Beach for a weekend rally and later took a 4,500 mile trip, mainly to Yellowstone and The Grand Tetons. This is the ideal living room for us, and you.

It has been a long time since we have posted! We have full timed in Costalotta for three years and have decided to sell her next spring. She has and is a boondockers dream with the solar panels and composting toilet. Our tow vehicle F250 with custom bed with grey water and fresh water tanks will go also.

Thank you for posting this again. I've never seen it before... But am starting on a similar unit in the next few weeks. I'm sure I'll refer to your work many times.

Costalotta is sold! We have had many wonderful adventures with her, met many great people and seen some beautiful country. She had not been used for nearly 2 years and we wanted her on the road again making memories for someone else.

We loved your Costalotta.
You had done a wonderful job restoring it. You took great care of her. I believe you will miss her and she will also miss you. She will adjust to having a new owner. You will move to a new chapter in your life. Congratulations...

Thanks Kate, we will miss our adventures with her. Now time for someone else to make memories which we know the new owner will. Hope to still get to visit you sometime.
