Thanks Aage and all.

Marc, Seattle for sure. Tacoma, Portland, etc. as well. Bernie, you live down there somewhere too, right?

Wont miss Vancouver, Cameron. My son, his wife and my grandchildren are in West Vancouver. (Will the neighbors let me park the rig there?)

Skip, reserve one night for pizza and one night for Louies. Im guessing that there must be some great local beers around too

Canoestream, I want to put up some photos of the tow truck set up but Im running out of picture posting space. What gives?

Sergei, I don't know if West Vancouver has any restrictions. I can't imagine it would be a concern if you are just visiting. If there are issues, Capilano RV park is right there in the City.

All I need is a couple week notice so I can clear my schedule. I'm sure I could get minstrel blue to tag along for pizza, that's his favorite spot too.

beer? why yes we do have a good local brew. My friend is a fantastic brewer: Carlson Craft Brewery

Modern Apizza is the best pizza in the world.

I would need 2 hours notice to clear my schedule...., ahhh, 2 minutes is probably more like it.

Bernie:

Our dollar has dropped from $1.04 against the USD a few weeks ago to $.79 today. That's what it was when I bought the Sprinter in Michigan two years ago.

Interesting to see were this all ends.....

Wow, I knew the dollar was getting stronger in general but I had no idea the move had been so big against the Loonie. Let me see if I understand how this works. The US creates a world wide monetary crises by writing a bunch of bad mortgages and now everyone wants to own $$$.

Please read this in connection with #541 above, the description of the last remaining major construction in the trailer, the shelf and extractor fan over the galley counter.

Before we closed down for the winter, we got all the down lights wired and working.

The switch plate is from my Aqua Hot friends in Colorado. It matches the instrument panel at the front door.

The hood surround is in brushed aluminum. It looks white here because the protective coating is still in place.

During the winter DavidsonOverlander is going to apply a grey laminate, to match the counter, to the top of the shelf. After that itll just take and hour or so next spring for the unit to be riveted into place in the trailer.

more pictures?

I am really looking forward to seeing the pictures of the completed kitchen, it's looking fantastic. Could you also include some pictures of the completed gaucho area as well? The casework is some of the nicest I have seen. Thanks very much.

Has anyone heard from Sergei? I'm hopeful he was able to get out on the road in April as he had planned.

Sergei, if you read this, please drop us a line and let us know how you're doing! Looking forward to seeing pictures of you and this amazing rig out on the road!

Yeah, I was just wondering the same thing and like magic this thread resurfaced. This has been a wonderful "blog" of the trailer rebirth. I'm hoping there will soon be a new "ships log" of the travels.

I know he's planning on coming to Vancouver. I keep hoping he'll announce his arrival so I can see his rig in person!
