I know, it is amazing that this happened--I have been looking on the side of the road for years and there is never anything around here--then suddenly we find the Safari in Sept and now this Argosy --don't ask me why--but listen--you all can laugh out of the other side of your mouths when it turns into a disaster and Bob divorces me!!!

and again--I WILL pass this on if we don't take it--but I'm almost 100% pos that we will--Z

I my view - free can be VERY expensive - it could be a lot cheaper to find one in decent condition and fix it up than to take a junker for free and fix it up.

Condition sounds shakey, but you never know what a bit of spit and polish can do, good luck, keep us posted!
We found one on the side of the road for a couple of hundred. Currently in the process of taking everything out to see if it is worth doing anything with.

Animal evidence

Can you get a few pictures of the animal manure? Some of us on the forum have watched plenty episodes of CSI and may be able to identify the animal. Just kidding. I'm happy for you. It sure will be a story to tell in the future so get those pictures!

free is worth it for the aluminum. The aluminum would be worth a couple hundred I would think for scrap. Its better then 50cents a pound I think for that grade. Shell has to be 300lb

sawzall and some blades and it would be gone in an afternoon. Quick couple hundred in the pocket at the local recycler if it was to far gone to deal with.

hahaha=actually this is driving me crazy--I'm just having a hard time figuring what animal was housed in it--so I will take pics--get your detective hats one.

I especially want to get pics of the bittersweet bush that's growing in and around the hitch! It's lovely.

right now I'm dreaming of what neat color I can paint it when I get the clean up done.

so far--

leopard print--I think it would be a riot--no one else does
a pretty metallic gold--get it--the Anti--Airstream--no votes
pale olive green--call it Olive Oyl --no vote
sky blue with soap bubbles all over it--my business is soapmaking. fav so far
a pale pale tangerine and do the interior in all Miami hot pastels--turquoise, lime pink and yellow--yum! no votes

I had a dream just the other night that I had painted my Caravel a sort of metallic candy orange/tangerine. Kind of orange changing to yellow when the sun hits it just right, like on the curves. Then I was at the store this morning perusing the magazines and saw a mustang on the cover of one with just that sort of color on it. Beautiful! Unfortunately I have a silver airstream, so I have to polish it else I will be shunned by the other silver airstreamers. I am jealous of you Argosy folks, you have more choices
