We had at least half of our clearance lights out when we pulled ours home. EVERY one that was out just turned out to be due to corrosion or a lose bulb contact. If you haven't already, try wiggling the bulbs a little bit to see if they light up. May just need to knock some of the years of scale buildup of the bulb holders.

I'm just finishing the renovation of my 22' Argosy...
I've purchased a 30' Argosy 1979 with panoramic windows in front and back but think I'm going to sell her and take a break from restoration...
If you know anyone that's looking for an Argosy to restore... Send them my way.

Difference

I am looking to buy a 24'er '79 Argosy 7.3 this week...I see a lot of people posting 6.7 minuets. What is the difference?
And anything I should really pay attention too? It is priced in the 4k range, advertised as very good condition...good deal?
Will post pictures if I get it!!

Thanks

Bunk Bed Cables

Hello Argosy owners. I have an 79 Minuet 7.3. I'm missing the cables that suspend the bunk bed from the ceiling. Anybody have a set? Know where i can get some? Thanks

New to the argosy minuet family

We just got a 6metre argosy minuet and are anxious to get her up and running and on the road. Been lurking here for a while reading all the advice and happy to see the possible support!

Welcome to the Forums and the world of Minuet ownership! Minuets are quite versatile and so easy to tow. I am sure you will get many years of enjoyment from your Minuet -- I know that I enjoy mine more each year that it is with Me.

It has an average paint job from 30 years ago, useable upholstery, working appliances. I keep it under a carport shelter.
(Has anyone replaced the "hazy" acrylic windows?)
Just finished replacing two of the 30" x 22" (?) side windows. Replaced with Lexan. What a freakin' bear! Nothing pretty about it, but, it is do-able.

Did you find new seals for the lexan? I responded to your post on the Argosy owners Facebook group a while back but never saw what route you were planning to take.

Try to find a wrecked airstream at a salvage yard.
I replaced all of my windows in my '78 6.7 metre argosy with glass windows from an older airstream.
Made an amazing difference

That's exactly what I ended up doing too! But the old seals on the glass units were in bad shape. I took one frame apart and tried to rebuild it with a new seal, but just could not the seal and glass back in the frame. So I reused the old seal, cut the lip all the way around, and then used some trem-pro to seal it.

New seals and gaskets are available on line, not a problem, finding the correct size steel insert - big problem
