Broke 3 prong electrical cable connector in bumper storage compartment

I have a '78 Argosy Minuet 6.7 and broke the 3 prong electrical cable connector (prongs got bent and one broke off). It is in the service shop right now.
Should I be concerned with what type of connector is used to replace this.
The manual states that the camper is 120 volt 30 amp. What should I instruct the service company to replace it with? Do I need to order the part from somewhere? Could the service company damage the electrical if they replace it with the incorrect connector?

There is a standard male connector that will replace the end of your cable. Any electrical supply house will have it and you can replace it with a screwdriver and cutters

You can get one at Home Depot.
It will be labelled for RV use and rated 30 amps at 120 volts.
It is clearly labelled where to connect the hot, neutral and ground wires.

Easy fix ... you can get the correct replacement most places that carry electrical or RV supplies ... just make sure it's rated 120v 30-Amp. I replaced one and if I can do it anyone can do it.

Are there connectors that plug into a standard extension cord like the original? The one at Home Depot has angled connectors which could be a problem plugging in or is there an adapter to buy for this also?

I bought a replacement end today since mine arced and melted part of a blade off (at a bad campground plug in). Almost anywhere that sells RV accessories has the replacement ends, I saw them in a cost ranging from $15 to $25. It only took me 15-20 minutes to do the job.

The angled connectors are standard for a 30-amp RV plug. That's what should be wired to the end of your trailer's shore power cable.

They make adapters to convert that to a 15-amp connector (household type plug). Two ends connected by a heavy wire, so the slang name is a dog bone connector.

Be careful not to run heavy loads like an air conditioner when plugged into a 15-amp circuit. That's hard on the wiring, and more importantly hard on the air conditioner.
