Brand new (to us) 1978 28' Argosy - YAH!!!!

So we are towing it home tomorrow, from a horse pasture near Santa Cruz, CA.

Initial inspection looks alright, solar panels installed in 2002, interior in the middle of (yet another) refurb, floors torn up, gaucho in pieces, etc. Seems most stuff functions and is original, all receipts for the new stuff (new fridge in 2007 $450), original owners manual, etc. It's definitely the "project" that we are looking for.

I'm doing the "live in it during the refurb" while I am working during the week, away from home. Hoping to catch the tail end of the season here in California, but no pressure. The plan is to do a good job but not go crazy.....if that is possible. We are a family of pilots and aviation professionals, so we are leaning towards a serious change in the interior, adding a lot of aviation/airplane stuff (think about the kitchen looking like the flight attendant station in a DC-10, etc.)

I never thought I'd be so excited about a trailer, but here I am! Can't wait to get started! Will post pics as soon as we've hooked it up and are ready for takeoff. Thanks in advance for all the good insight I'm sure we will get from these boards as we progress.

Good luck with it! Me and my father in law have something similar. He has been doing the work on it in the last year and it's looking good.
