After putting water into the black water tank to check condition, I look outside and see what could be a lawn sprinkler under the trailer.
Sure enough, the valve leaks like a sieve, but worse, the tank is cracked where the pipe for the dump enters the tank.
The tank appears to be polyethylene rather than fiberglass. So, two questions:
1. Can the tank be repaired and, if so, how? Some kind of plastic weld? Fiberglass wrap? (Since the crack is in the same place that must clamp to the exit pipe, I wonder about a wrap.) If no repair, where to get a replace for a '79 6 Metre Minuet?
2. Is there a source for aluminum to make large pieces for the belly pan? (PO took off 5 feet of belly pan that I need to replace. Made getting at the valves easy, but made a mess of the belly pan.)
