Black Tank Leak

Hello Everyone,
Since spring is just around the corner I am finishing up a few issues I have. I replaced the valve on my black tank, and discovered that I still have a leak. The leak appears to be coming from the part that you bolt the valve to where it is attached the black tank. Can someone tell me if this part comes off or is it made to the black tank? Thanks in advance.

My trailer is much later than yours, but may be similar. The part your are referring to is called an adapter. Mine is clamped inside the tank neck. Both of mine cracked with a age. I replaced them a couple of years ago.

Thank you, but I never saw a clamp. Maybe I will go take another look.

They do come off, and can be replaced. I replaced both the grey and black connectors on my '97 after discovering a black tank leak. The connector is a weak point in the system. They should be available from the same place you bought your new replacement valve.
