Before and After

Here are a few pictures of our 73 Argosy when we bought it last December. The bucket on the gaucho was to catch water leaking down what was left of the antenna. Under the fresh water tank was completely rotted.

Here is some pictures of it now. I know it still has a way to go but we are working on it. I need to get some J-mold, 1" trim tape for the bathroom, and get, or make, a folding dining table. We haven't worked on the outside yet, except for the roof. Everything is new up there.

Wow! What a difference. It looks great. That must have been one heck of a project!

your trailer is looking great! I love the color you added.

on another note, this is so funny. just last night I was thinking about putting in a new floor in our trailer when I remembered the vinyl flooring in our previous house. I was thinking it would probably look really good in the trailer and guess what? it's the floor you have installed! haha thanks for the sneak peek at how mine would look.

Glad I could be of help. By the way, it looks like you have the same type of truck as we do. How is your mpg towing your trailer?

this is heresay since i'm the wife of the truck but I believe normal hwy (for comparative purposes) is around 22 and the overall average back from PA was 13. the terrain was hilly and our speed stayed under 65. I remember at times, when we were doing 55 and it was flat, the truck stayed in eco mode/4 cyl and then the mileage was around 17. we haven't towed the trailer since we've been back...I won't let it move until I get my window protectors! haha

You've done really fine work in rebuilding your Argosy (renovation is hardly adequate for the time and energy you've put into it). Congratulations!

Love what you have done to it. Great colour choice, too!

Nice addition, the orange rotary phone. Très cool!

Thanks guys for the complements. We intend to take it out for the first time next week just to check everything out. In the fall we will do the body work and paint it.

Excellent work on what looks like a daunting project, Tom. You're a braver man than I!

I'm sure the shake down cruise will go without a hitch (no pun intended).

Will

Everything went fine. We were parked next to a $200,000, 37' Fleetwood and people were stopping to talk about our trailer, "the ugly ducklin' ".

Your paint job looks fantastic! Did you use the Krylon paint I hear so much about above your goucho?
