I've had this happen many times in cars over the years. I disconnect the battery. Spray it pretty heavily with WD-40. Let that soak for a little bit. Then work it out with long-nosed pliers.

Yep...Then coat socket and bulb base with dielectric grease.

Do all bulbs and exterior screws, fasteners, rubber seals and stuff that ain't supposed to stick.

use the needle nose pliers to collapse the bulb base into itself.

always use a rag over the glass to keep from getting your hands cut if the glass breaks. if the bulb is white it means moisture has gotten on the bulb and it may be cracked.

Always a good idea to wear gloves when installing bulbs too...because the oils from your fingers can shorten the bulb life by creating a hot spot. Dilithium (mentioned before) will also extend bulb life by nearly 2 x.

Just make sure the dilithium is properly aligned to channel the antimatter, if not, a broken bulb will be the least of your problems...
