Axles for a Minuet
I have been working with Rick at Oasis to get an axle for our Minuet. Thus far, Rick has had little luck with Hennschen (sp?). I would have thought they would been knowledgable about Minuet axles, but that seems not to be the case. Rick describes the reaction to building a proper axle as approximately "Huh?" We sent dimensions, descriptions, catalog numbers, Airstream part numbers, all from the old axle, all to no avail.
I know there are those who have had new axles made for their Minuets, some by Hennschen, some by other axle manufacturers like Dexter. I would like to know how the Hennschen customers managed to get their axles built. I would like to know how the folks who had other manufacturers make the axle are doing with their axles.
Thanks in advance.

If Henschen does not respond, send the dimensions to Dexter. Don't go to a Dexter dealer, go to Dexter directly. They have facilities all over the US.

Have you called InlandRV?
The Dexter axles under my trailer, and those of my friends are fantastic, btw.

We replaced the axle on our Minuet with a Henschen via Inland RV. It made a huge difference in the ride and got us a few inches of increased ground clearance.

Have Rick contact Inland RV the are the distributor of Henschen axles. Give them a call with you trailer serial number and they can fix you up. when I replaced ours, I had spec'ed out 12" drums and a 33 deg. down angle to give more ground clearance. I have ordered 3 axles from them over the last 5 years, and got just what I needed with no measureing at all.

We got a Dexter axle put on our Minuet. It didn't seem to pose any unexpected challenges.

Rick has ordered Henschen axles from us in the past.
Rick has not called us about your axle.
They are readily available.

T&R Trailer in Fowler Colorado had them in stock when I bought the Minuet from them. Great folks to do business with 800 441-5250 and www.TandRTrailer.com Home. I am not connected with T&R, just a satisfied customer.
