Argosy_Registration_Texas

The weight of our 24ft Argosy was stamped less
than 4000 lbs. In Texas, if the trailer is less than
4000 lbs, you do not need a Title - nor do they
issue Titles. DMV ran the VIN and ours had never
been registered in Texas. Therefore, for $45.00
we got a current registration and plates on the spot.
Documentation on the older trailers can become
a very sticky issue. In Texas, if it is over 4000 lbs
on the data plate....you would be well advised to
insist on a title. That said, any Argosy over 24 ft
should be very careful because our is just under
the 4000 lb limit.
