Argosy question?

Does the 1975 28' Argosy TT have gray & black holding tanks or just the black. I'm thinking about buying one soon not sure if they have both....... Thanks

If Argosy's followed the same timetable as the traditional Airstreams, grey water tanks were introduced in '73.

Argosy question?

Greetings Jeff!

Yes, the 1975 Argosy line did feature both gray and black water holding tanks according to the literature that I have. The question that I can't answer is whether the gray water tank on the model that you are considering collects the water from the shower/tub in the bathroom. On the Minuet series (1977-1979), the gray water tank is mounted above the floor (more or less beside the blackwater tank in the streetside corner) so it is higher than than the shower and thus does not collect the water from the shower.

Good luck with your investigation!

Wow Kevin!

I have a 75 Argosy, and I haven't even thought about where the shower drained to... I always assumed it drained to the grey tank, but now I'll have to check - I'd hate to use it and have the black tank back up into the shower a la others I've heard on the forum - YUCK!

Yes, my 75 has the grey tank.

I had a '75 26' Argosy which did not have a grey tank. Only a small above the floor black tank.

And, just to muddy the water, my '72 has a grey water tank...

My 77 has both a gray and black tank. Also my shower is not connected to either tank. I must use a external tank for my shower

Minuets could well be called Mystery-ets sometimes.

I noticed a small leak in my black tank on my last camping trip and when I removed the access panel and removed the insulation today to start work on it I found the shower drain in my 2.7 meter Minuet goes.... into my gray tank, not the black tank like other Minuets! My gray tank is not beside my black tank as on other Minuets. It is located below the floor on the streetside about three feet from the rear. So, with my 7.3 meter I have a gray tank that can be and is serviced by the shower along with the sinks.

Also, while I was at it I looked for the aluminum composite floor that some Minuets have in them. Alas, I saw only plywood in the bath area.
